TALLY HO! a tale of two runaways or the unsentimental education of bessot suarez tells the story of Edna, a Kenyan schoolteacher who runs away to London with Vee, a stowaway pupil and Bessot Suarez, a young woman from Florida troubled by memories of her difficult past and like Edna, attempting to make a home in London. Their stories intersect in the play’s climax when Edna in an act of desperation attempts to steal Bessot’s baby, only to be stopped by Vee and the memory of the schoolchildren she fled from in Kenya.
